What We Do
Since its founding in 1947 as the first science and nature education center in the Southeast, Discovery Place’s importance to the STEM field and the community continues to grow. We build bridges to STEM education with opportunities for learners of all ages and backgrounds to engage in inquiry-based education in our museums, classrooms, and communities.
Outreach Classes & Virtual Programs
Educational experiences are delivered to schools and communities through Discovery Place’s premier outreach classes and virtual programs that inspire students in and out of the classroom.
Professional Development
Through ongoing training, support and collaboration, Discovery Place provides educators with customized professional development to help them grow as effective and inspired STEM leaders.
