Discovery Place Science & IMAX
Discovery Place Science is a cutting-edge hub of exploration, igniting the curiosity of visitors of all ages through the fascinating realms of STEM. The Accenture IMAX Dome Theatre, a breathtaking centerpiece within the facility, elevates the learning experience to new heights with its state-of-the-art technology and immersive, larger-than-life visuals.
Discovery Place Nature
In April 2022, Discovery Place Nature unveiled design plans for a new, state-of-the-art nature museum. Discovery Place Nature is now closed to make way for construction of a new building that will replace the current facility built in 1951.
The Museum has been reimaged to inspire the community to embrace science and explore the natural world. The new Discovery Place Nature will remain a cornerstone for education, innovation and connection to the environment for generations to come.
Discovery Place Kids
Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville and Discovery Place Kids-Rockingham offer vibrant, engaging spaces where children’s imaginations soar and curiosity thrives.
Designed to spark a lifelong love for learning, both locations provide interactive exhibits, hands-on programs and immersive experiences that nurture young minds and inspire creativity.
